Please join JANES for the Rise & Shine Walk/Run which benefits the Rise School of Corpus Christi! 1K walk and 5K run. Registration is at 8:00am. Run begins at 8:45am and walk begins at 9:00am. Enjoy live music, food, games and family activities! Fun for the entire family!!!
The Rise School, which opened in August of 2007, provides the highest quality early childhood education to all young children including those with developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome, Stroke, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. Among the excellent services provided at the school are: 3:1 child/instructor ratio; music, occupational, physical & speech therapists on staff; and scholarships for students. There are currently 25 families on the waiting list to get into the Rise School. They are eagerly awaiting a place for their child to shine, so we are quickly trying to raise funds and preparing to open another classroom during this school year. The Rise School is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization that receives the vast majority of its funding from grants and private donations.
